CONNECT GROUP'S TECHNICAL SERVICES TEAM CONSISTS OF ENGINEERING, DRAFTING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE/CONTROL

Connect Group holds an engineering permit to practice in Alberta (APEGA). The team utilizes 3D models and finite element analysis to ensure conformance to relevant design codes and client specifications.
Connect Group has developed a library of welding procedures for both structural (CWB – CSA W47.1) and process piping (ABSA – B31.3) that include both the shop and field. Welding testing programs have been complete to meet client’s stringent standards for low temperature material applications.
OUR TECHNICAL SERVICES INCLUDE:

- Contract document preparation and supplier bid reviews
- Evaluation of existing structures, facilities, cranes, and equipment

We are proud of the great relationships we have created with our clients within Alberta. We have worked on maintenance and repair of OPP (ore preparation plant) and SPP (slurry preparation plant) facilities. We have provided services on RM of Wood Buffalo site shutdowns since 2015, including shutdowns to repair damaged/inoperable apron feeders. Pre project reviews, CWP’s and creating strong engineering and quality control objectives help maximize our performance during the shutdown periods. Our project team help to keep schedules baselined and reflect the changes in scope and every member of the team helps to fulfill a safe work environment.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- ASME B31.3 Process Piping
- CSA Standard W47.1 – Division 1 Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel
- Approved Welding Procedures for CWB Include; SMAW, FCAW, MCAW & SAW
- Approved Welding Procedures for ABSA in compliance with ASME Section IX
- CSA W178.1 Certification of Welding Inspection Organizations
- Level 1, 2 & 3 CSA W178.2 Certified Welding Inspectors
- Engineering permit to practice in Alberta (APEGA)
